en: The positions of Venus at its lower conjunctions with earth between the two transits of 2004 and 2012. Venus's orbit as viewed from earth assumes an approximate "pentagram" shape, due to the approximate 8:5 ratio between the orbital periods of earth and Venus.
de: Position der Venus bei der unteren Konjunktion in den Jahren 2004-2012. Die Grafik zeigt das so genannte Venus-Pentagramm. Innerhalb von acht Jahren bilden die Positionen der Venus bei unterer Konjunktion am Himmel ein Pentagramm, das sich fast schließt. Neben dem mythologischen Hintergrund ist vor allem die Verbindung des Diagramms zum Rhythmus der Venus-Durchgänge (z.B. hier eingezeichnet 2004 und 2012) interessant. Eingezeichet sind neben den Positionen der Venus die Lage der Solstizien und Äquinoktien auf der Ekliptik.
