Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise (1840-1901), known as ‘Vicky’ to her family, was the eldest child of Queen Victoria.

Image description: line drawing; an infant in long dress, in profile looking to the viewer's right. She is held by a woman whose face is mostly obscured. At the right of the image is part of a bird-cage on a table, with a small bird inside the object of the baby's attention.

Image has been cropped to inside the mounting window (but outside plate impression), converted to greyscale with a yellow filter, and a ramped luminance threshold (approx 50% to 65%) applied.
