| Description |
English: View across Higher Gabwell farm The view looks north towards the high land at 'Fuzzy Dee' which is one of the old Armada beacon points. Look to see the areas under cultivation - there is field with a distinctly different colour where they have cut and harvested a crop of cereals. The fields are relatively small and the countryside is dotted with small houses as land over the years has been sold off by the local farmers and landowners. Most of the fields in this area are used for grazing herds of beef cattle. The fall in the demand for UK milk and the relatively low price farmers receive has meant that many farmers have given up dairy farming. |
