Summary[edit]
DescriptionView north across Wyche cutting - geograph.org.uk - 825724.jpg |
English: View north across Wyche cutting There are a couple of passes through the Malvern Range, Wyche (meaning salt) Cutting being the more northerly of the two. The Wyche was an ancient pass over the hills on the route of a saltway from Rhydd on the Severn into Herefordshire. The cutting was dug in 1840. Straight ahead is the Worcestershire Beacon, highest point of the Malverns at 425m. Houses at Upper Wyche can be seen on the right. |
