A text on the verso said Malet af Viggo Pedersen attesteret af Stefan Viggo Pedersen (Painted by Viggo Pedersen, confirmed by Stefan Viggo Pedersen). Stefan Viggo Pedersen was the artist's son. The experts at Bruun Rasmussen informed us that Viggo Pedersen made some religious paintings in the 1890s, but they did not specify if this one was among those.
