Summary[edit]
DescriptionVillage Hall, Williamsville, New York - 20200731.jpg |
English: Williamsville Village Hall, 5565 Main Street, Williamsville, New York, July 2020. Built in 1963 in a highly simplified version of the Colonial Revival style, with a Classical pediment built into a blocky parapet and Doric pilaster strips lining the façade vertically, the building was constructed in 1963 and initially housed the headquarters of the Amherst Police Department, but was repurposed as home to the village government after demolition of the so-called "Old Stone Village Hall" in 1965 (the Amherst Municipal Building stands on its site today). The west annex to the building, seen here at far right, houses the Hutchinson Hose Company, a volunteer fire department serving the village. |
