Español: La riqueza minera en el municipio permitió también la llegada de importantes esculturas con advocación religiosa, tal es el caso de la Virgen de la Natividad, que de acuerdo a estudios del INAH en la última década fue posible saber que se trata de una pieza de gran relevancia escultórica, del tipo abridera, una tipología de la baja edad media y de poca presencia en el mundo. Lo relevante de este descubrimiento es que en México solo existen dos ejemplares y en américa apenas otros 3. Su característica principal es la apertura de sus manos a la altura del pecho que permite apreciar cuatro escenas de la pasión de cristo talladas en madera. La escultura contiene adornos de estofado policromado y hoja de oro. |
