Summary[edit]

Description
English: Eastbound view of the former right-of-way of the Virginian Railway Main Line with a gate in front of it from where it used to cross South Halifax Road (Virginia Secondary Route 646) in Jarratt, Sussex County, Virginia. The Virginian Railway was acquired by the Norfolk and Western Railway in 1959, and much of it was eventually abandoned. East of this picture, the line crossed US 301 and then Interstate 95 before becoming part of the Tobacco Heritage Trail.
