טריאסטה (Trieste) היא עיר נמל בצפון-מזרח איטליה, על גבול סלובניה, המשמשת בירת מחוז פריולי-ונציה ג'וליה . אוכלוסיית העיר מנתה בדצמבר 2009 205,507 תושבים, במגמת ירידה. היא אחת מ-15 הערים הגדולות באיטליה.

לטריאסטה עבר מפואר כעיר נמל וכמרכז מסחרי וכלכלי באזורה, והיא שימשה כנמל העיקרי של האימפריה האוסטריה-הונגרית בים-התיכון משך מאות שנים. במהלך מאתיים השנים האחרונות של השלטון האוסטרי, החזיק הנמל במעמד של אזור סחר חופשי, ובחלק מהזמן אף הוחל מעמד זה על העיר כולה. טריאסטה הייתה ונותרה מוקד חשוב של ענף הביטוח האיטלקי והבינלאומי, והתפתחה בה קהילה יהודית עשירה היא יהדות טריאסטה.

מעמדה כנמל חופשי אושר על ידי האיחוד האירופי.
