| Description |
English: On 23 May 1986, Jacques Delors, President of the CEC, and Willy De Clercq, Member of the CEC in charge of External Relations and Trade Policy received Wu Xueqian, Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs. In the course of their talks they both expressed satisfaction with the good political and economic relations between the Communityand China. They confirmed the desire of both sides to strengthen cooperation and to develop trade. Wu Xueqian expressed strong optimism concerning the prospect of a Commission Delegation being set up inBejing. On the same day Wu Xueqian also had talks with Willy De Clercq, notably on a number of international policy issues. |
