The Clock Tower, Upton-upon-Severn

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The structure consists of a gently converging 13th century stone masonry tower of square plan upon which an upper section is of a slightly later, 14th century, addition. This tower is all that remains of the renovated church of St Peter and St Paul. The nave that abutted the tower, and which was completed in the 1770s, was demolished in 1937. The tower is surmounted by a wooden hexagonal lantern and copper cupola to a design by Anthony Keck. These are replacements of an earlier spire.
