English: Photo taken at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Norwegian: Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway's largest exhibition of uniforms and smaller items related to the Second World War and the German occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945:

Uniforms of the Wehrmacht Luftwaffe (the air force of Nazi Germany) and misc. WWII equipment, militaria, memorabilia, etc.

  • Mannequin dressed in WWII German Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot (Polarfieger) winter uniform
    • German air force peaked visor cap (Luftwaffe Schirmmütze). With national eagle-and-swastika emblem , national cockade-and-winged-oak-leaf-wreath, and piping (Paspel, trimming) in yellow corps colour (waffenfarbe) for flying personnel.
    • Goggles
    • Off-white, zipped, lined leather pilot's winter flying jacket (Fliegerjacke), with broad fur-lied collar, without rank insignia
    • Leather gloves
    • Leather flight trousers with large bellows pockets holding a flare pistol, knife, etc.
    • Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge (Flugzeugführerabzeichen, Pilotenabzeichen), a World War II German military decoration instituted in 1935 and awarded to military aviators after one completed flight training and the flying licence and citation were received
    • Luftwaffe pilot's flare pistol (Flieger-Leuchtpistole, aviator's signal gun) ammo legband, with cartridges
    • Flight boots, with buckled straps at the top and on the instep, zips dow the inner sides, rubber soles, etc.
