English: - object type: wall painting (fresco), preserved in parts of different cut, framed

- description: lower part of the wall: - upper boundary: frieze of acanthus volutes with animals placed between the volutes - main (middle) part: phantastic architecture with thin columns between large fields of red surface, in the middle of which there are unframed pictures of an idyllic landscape or a religous scene connected with the cult of Isis; in the socle of the architectural parts a framed picture of a seascape (harbour, naval battle, nilotic landscape with pygmies ...) or of a still life is integrated; on this socle in some cases rests a theatrical mask; some of the architectural parts form an aedicula with an animal painted (unframed) on a white background in the centre - socle: squares under the painted architecture, rectangles under the main fields with sea monsters and other phantastic creatures on red background - period / date: fourth style of pompeian wall painting - findspot: Pompeii VIII, 7, 28, sanctuary of Isis, porticus (c) - museum / inventory number: Napoli, Museo Archeologico Nazionale - bibliography: Soprintendenza Archeologica per le Province di Napoli e Caserta, Alla ricerca di Iside.
