Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen besteht vermutlich seit dem 15. Jh., doch sind nur Siegel aus jüngerer Zeit bekannt. Der Dohlenschwarm über der Burg deutet darauf hin, dass es sich hier nicht um ein allgemeines Stadtsymbol handelt, sondern die Ruinen der romanischen Burg Kohren dargestellt werden sollen, die Zahl der Vögel ist mit den sieben Schutzgemeinden des damaligen Burgbereichs in Zusammenhang zu bringen.
