Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Made in the 19th century from two lost vestments. One is 15th century, the orphreys depicting scenes from the life of Jesus, and the coat of arms of Charles the Bold. It is thought to have been a gift from Margaret of York (Charles's wife) to Westminster Abbey.

The other is from the 16th century and has Tudor imagery: the rose, the portcullis, and the pomegranate (of Catherine of Aragaon). It was likely a royal gift to the abbey.
