English: Wessex Ridgeway, Great Ridge near Chicklade This rough tarmac road lies east-west through the western half of Great Ridge wood. At this particular point the Wessex Ridgeway joins the road, and follows it for about 1km before turning north. The Wessex Ridgeway runs from Lyme Regis to Marlborough, a distance of 219km (136 miles), and the route was inaugurated in 1994. |
