| Description |
English: West door of Staplehurst church This fine Perpendicular doorway is the entrance to the West Tower which was started soon after 1400. The two coronetted heads on either side of the door, only partly visible here, probably depict King Henry V and his Queen. The central carving over the door is of a lion rampant.
