| Description |
English: Wetland flora Looking towards the farm of Gwrhyd Mawr from Ffos-y-mynach, across the swampy watercourse of the Alun, the vegetation in July is dominated by flowering Meadowsweet, Red Campion and (possibly Wavy) St John's Wort, all of which thrive in this damp fenland habitat which supports well over 350 species of flowering plants. The reserve has a national importance as an example of oceanic lowland heath. |
