English: Wharf at Robben Island off Cape Town. During the Apartheid era this island housed a prison for political (anti-Apartheid) prisoners. Nelson Mandela spent 18 years here. The island is now a memorial to those who suffered during that period.
Afrikaans: Werf by Werf by Robbeneiland buite Kaapstad. Gedurende die Apartheid-era het hierdie eiland 'n gevangenis gehuisves vir politieke (anti-Apartheid) gevangenes. Nelson Mandela het 18 jaar hier deurgebring. Die eiland is nou 'n gedenkteken vir diegene wat gedurende daardie tydperk gely het.
