Wijding van de klok voor de pas gerestaureerde toren van het laat-middeleeuws gotische kerkje van Persingen (St. Joriskapel) door de deken van Beek-Ubbergen, dr. C.W.A. Smulders in aanwezigheid van onder andere de verkennersbeweging en burgemeester P.M.H.Sassen. De klok is een geschenk van de burgerij van de gemeente Beek-Ubbergen, aangeboden aan burgemeester Sassen ter gelegenheid van zijn zilveren ambtsjubileum en vervaardigd bij gieterij Eysbouts in Asten
