Summary[edit]

Description Gold ring from Winchester Cathedral in Winchester, England. Exhibit tag reads: "Ring, Late 12th or early 13th century. Gold set with a sapphire or an aquamarine. 103. This ring was found c. 1813 in a coffin in the nave of Winchester Cathedral. the coffin also contained a crozier. If the burial was that of a bishop the possibilities are Richard Toclyve d. 1189, Godfrey de Lucy d. 1204 but who was buried in the retroquire, or Peter des Roches, d. 1238."
