English: Work still continues on the Sir Llewelyn Turner Fountain Following the cholera outbreak of the 1860s, Sir Llewelyn Turner of Parkia, town mayor, solicitor, and son of Wm Turner the slate quarrying pioneer, arranged for the supply of fresh water to the town from Llyn Cwellyn.SH5555. The fountain to commemorate this event is taking almost as long to complete as the construction of the complete water scheme in the 19thC.
