日本語: さいたま新都心合同庁舎1号館上に建つXバンドMPレーダーのタワー（通信等併用の多目的塔）。高層ビルの上に建つことから関東平野を広範囲にカバー（茨城県の筑波山が唯一の遮蔽物）。供給電力が高いためレーダー出力も強く、通常40～60Km程度の範囲のところを80～100Km程度までカバーする。ここで得られた気象観測情報（北風・西風に押されて流れてくる雨雲）は東海道新幹線運転指令所にも届けられ豪雨時の運行判断にも用いられている。さいたま新都心駅ホームから見上げたアングル。 |
