| Description |
English: The presently exposed southwestern pit of the Yangshan Quarry. The presently exposed area is stretched for about 150 m along the SW-NE direction, and was quarried since the Six Dynasties period. (The sign says, "over 500 m long and over 200 m wide", but they perhaps meant both the SW and NW pits visible today, as well as the areas that are now covered by forest?) The unfinished "monument base" (not in this picture) is at the NE end of this pit. This photo shows the general view of the pit, with a modern observation platform in the middle.
