[edit]DescriptionYork Racecourse (Holgate) station geograph-2754551-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Up freight passing York Racecourse (Holgate) station. View NE, towards York Station and to the left beyond Holgate Bridge to York Yards and the North: ECML. An Up Class F iron ore empties, headed by BR 9F 2-10-0 No. 92205 (built 6/59, withdrawn 6/67) is coming south from York Yard on the Up Leeds line and passing a Down freight, while a Diesel approaches from York station. The rarely used York Raceccourse platforms were always an ideal spot for Train-Watchers. |
