Summary[edit]
English: The location where the photo was taken is the beach of El Medano, Tenerife, Spain. The photo was taken in an area of the beach where there is a small salt lake formed by the rising tides. This little lake is surrounded by several sand dunes, protecting it from the cold and wind, hence it was a refuge for birds, being even delimited for human access because it being a "bird sanctuary". The matter is that, as time passes, people respect less and less these security measures to ensure the proper rest of the birds, even having seen with my own eyes people practicing volleyball in this area. This leads the birds to change their shelter or leave the area completely, which for those of us who enjoy nature and try to respect it, is not very helpful. This is what I try to criticise with this image in which, at that moment, there were only these two birds in the whole lake: please respect the rules of cohabitation with both humans and animals to preserve as much as possible such beautiful ecosystems as the one that is the beach of El Medano, in which animal diversity is being destroyed, both above and below the water.
