Description
Русский: Портрет Евгении и Екатерины Зайцевых Портрет поступил из фамильного собрания. Изображены дочери художника Ивана Кондратьевича Зайцева — Евгения (1837— 1896) и Екатерина (1839—1893) в замужестве Котельникова. Отец девочек, крепостной живописец, получил вольную в возрасте двадцати пяти лет, учился в Арзамасской школе живописи А.В. Ступина и в Академии художеств. Впоследствии он был учителем рисования в кадетских корпусах в Петербурге и Полтаве. Автор записок „Воспоминания старого учителя", опубликованных в журнале „Русская старина" за 1887 год.
