| Notes | Bis 1872 hiess die heutige Stadtbibliothek Winterthur offiziell Bürgerbibliothek, doch schon vor der Umbenennung wurde sie in den Neujahrsblättern teilweise als "Stadtbibliothek" betitelt, Unterhalb des Bildes gedruckter Text "Wer einmal sich dem Staat zu dienen hat bestimmt/ und nach der Gottheit stell, auf Tugend staffeln klimmt. / Der wirk' am Wohl des Volkes und nicht an seinem Glüke / Und sey zum Heil der Stadt ein Werkzeug vom Geschike / Er setze seiner Müh' die Tugend selbst zum Preiss, / Er kenne seine Pflicht - und thu auch was er weiss. / Haller." |
