Notes Im Auftrag des Hamburgers Johann Gerhard Reinhard Andreae (1724-1793) unternahm Johann Ulrich Schellenberg mit seinem Sohn Johann Rudolf Schellenberg (1740-1806) im Juli 1769 eine Reise über den Gotthard. In den 1770er Jahren entstand eine zehnteilige Folge von Gotthard-Ansichten, die Johann Ulrich Schellenberg nach auf der Reise gefertigten Zeichnungen radierte. Die vorliegende Radierung war nicht Bestandteil dieser Folge, doch die rechte Darstellung weist grosse Ähnlichkeiten mit dem zweiten Blatt der Folge auf (vgl. Signatur STF XIII, 105), Datierung gemäss Weber, Handschriftliche Bezeichnung in brauner Feder auf dem Unterlagenblatt
