Description
Deutsch: Das Haus des "starken Mannes" Johann Carl von Eckenberg in der Zimmerstraße, Fotografie. Das Gebäude ließ Johann Carl von Eckenberg 1732/33 nach Plänen von Philipp Gerlach auf dem Grundstück Zimmer-/Ecke Charlottenstraße in Berlin errichten. Da einer der späteren Besitzer der Hofmarschall Thiele war, wurde es auch als Thielsches Haus bezeichnet. Von 1806 bis 1836 war das Haus Sitz der Oberbaudeputation und der Bauakademie. Danach Sitz des Berliner Kreisgerichts und später des Landgerichts. 1888 wurde das Haus abgebrochen.
