Summary[edit]

Description
English: From Gerzon's building a view of the city in a southerly direction. In the foreground is the Blaak, behind it people sunbathe and swim in and around the part of the Leuvehaven that is to be filled. Excavation work is taking place at the Wijnhaven. There are concrete posts on the site of the former Lutherse Kerk. On the left the Regentessebrug and the Noordereiland can be seen in the background. Year: 1942.
Nederlands: Vanaf het pand van Gerzon een blik op de stad in zuidelijke richting. Op de voorgrond de Blaak, daarachter zonnen en zwemmen mensen in en rond het te dempen deel van de Leuvehaven. Bij de Wijnhaven vinden afgravingswerkzaamheden plaats. Op de plaats van de vroegere Lutherse Kerk liggen betonpalen. Links de Regentessebrug en op de achtergrond is het Noordereiland te zien. Jaar: 1942.
