Description
Deutsch: Zwillingslinde und Rosskastanie in Ochsendorf, Stadt Königslutter, Naturdenkmal ND-HE-0011 des Landkreises Helmstedt.

Auf einem Naturdenkmal-Schild des Landkreises Helmstedt ist zu lesen, dass die Bäume ein Alter von etwa 150 Jahren haben. Die Höhe der zweistämmigen Linde beträgt 21 m, ihr Stammumfang 3,70 m und ihr Kronendurchmesser 15 m. Die Kastanie ist etwa 26 m hoch, hat einen Stammumfang von 2,90 m und einen Kronendurchmesser von ebenfalls 15 m. "Die beiden Bäume bereichern das Ortsbild von Ochsendorf. Zusammen mit der Kirche St. Stephani und dem angrenzenden Pfarrhaus bilden sie ein eindrucksvolles dörfliches Ensemble."

Die Bäume liegen an der Alten Dorfstraße, nordöstlich der Dorfkirche. Das Bild von Osten entlang der Alten Dorfstraße aufgenommene Bild zeigt in der rechten Bildhälfte, links neben der Straße vorne die Zwillingslinde, dahinter, kaum zu sehen, die Kastanie, dahinter das Haus Nr. 1.
