Subject attribution

The attribution needs verification. The 2nd placed 917 in the 1970 Le Mans race was a longtail (langheck, hence the suffix L). However, this car is clearly a short tail (kurtzheck, i.e. 917K). This car is far more likely to be the 1970 Watkins Glen 6h and CanAm car. It is possible that the car was adjusted to K specification, but it needs to be checked and referenced.
