Incomplete[edit]

This synthesis does not look very convenient and logical, unless it is written completely from the beginning, starting with acrylonitrile, diethyl malonate, and later benzenediazonium chloride. Mykhal (talk) 09:07, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Other refs I see that mention the "Abramovitch-Shapiro" protocol are for that whole sequence (especially in the context of using substituted benzenediazonium to get substituted tryptamines). My only interest here was to fix the chemical mistake, as it (that specific mistake in this specific image) was mentioned in a published external article.
