Auf diesem Bild ist keine BMW R71 abgebildet. Es ist ein Umbau vom Russen mit Chinesenvergaser, der Zylinderkopf ist von einer BMW R12.

I disagree. Take a look at the original photographs which show other pictures of the bike. I believe it is genuine, especially as it is in a museum. --Biker Biker (talk) 09:25, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

R71 scam[edit]

The contra is unqualified. As arguments are given: 1) of this bike by a commercial trading are other photos 2) this bike is in a museum (thats name is not given)

What is this supposed to prove? - there are numerous museums, having false declared exhibits - only such museums can be backing, that exist and are known. Is it perhaps the shop "museum", run by the seller of this scam? - a contra proof can not back in recent commercial merchandize but only in epoche samples from history.

I add now, what clearly proves, this is no BMW R71: a) air filter is wrong b) gear shifter cap right side is off, having an additional connection hub c) the "OZ-74" top of cylinder heads only is proven from history with BMW R12, but there is no original sample for R71 of this kind d) the recent Chinese spark plug caps did not exist during 1938-41 e) motor front has no ventilation tube f) carbureters are perfectly off in shape and design compared to original Graetzin G24 g) the shifter pedal on left and its cap to motor housing are a bad joke. There is not even a slightest similarity to an original h) the motor serial is read as "601305". How can this be a BMW R71, that had motor serials 70xxxx?
