dealing with the Roman Brachatus drawing: could you please tell me what was a brachatus and in what age was the term used? I know of a family with that name living in the area of the Ducato di Amalfi (southern Italy) since the XI century (from contemporary written sources)and then spread all over Italy (see present Brancato andf Brancati families).
