This is probably fake. The author is nicknamed Eris like a planet. Somebody probably wants to introduce his own symbol to the whole world through Wikipedia.

Any proof?

Sure it's not an astronomical symbol. Minor planets were given symbols (like planets) until the 1850s when the number of asteroids grew up to 15-20 and non symbolic designations were adopted. Eris has been decovered in the 2000s so that it's sure there is no official symbol. Régis Lachaume 00:19, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
