Soviet Union a colonial empire?[edit]

Is there a consensus saying that the Soviet Union was a "colonial empire"? I couldn't help but notice that the Soviet Union was added later on to the original file, and the Colonialism article doesn't reference any sort of Soviet colonial empire. The original change uses WP:OTHERCONTENT as justification, which is frowned upon. Another problem is the complete lack of sources. KetchupSalt (talk) 20:06, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia[edit]

Mongolian People's Republic was not a Soviet colony, i.e. a territory of the Soviet Union. It was a satellite state that was formally independent. -- Tobby72 (talk) 06:51, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
