There is no reference it is actually Ducie main island... it could as well be a photo taken inside Oeno atoll, another Pitcairn Island. 82.224.88.52 19:14, 23 December 2008 (UTC)s to[reply]

The author, American, is a real expert in Polynesia and travelled many times to the Marquesas, Easter Island, etc. If he states it is Acadia Island (Ducie) I trust him. As far as I know he never visited Oeno, but Ducie, Pitcairn and Henderson. --Telim tor (talk) 07:04, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, this picture shows the ocean, the lagoon is on the right in the background. But the main island of Oeno is completely surrounded by the lagoon. So such pictue would look a bit different... --Telim tor (talk) 07:06, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
