22 vs 23[edit]

@FDRMRZUSA: As you probably saw, I reverted your change because you had attempted to correct an error that did not exist. There are no formal government specifications for this flag and I made that clear in the description and source. The geometric centers of the top and bottom stars could have been placed symmetrically at 22.5 units from the flag's horizontal centerline, but this would not make the stars appear centered in the crescent. Generally if you want a five pointed star in a tight space to appear vertically centered, its geometric center must sit below the center of the object it is being centered in. The same applies to a vertical line of stars. Ultimately I positioned the stars so that the imaginary circle around the 2nd star (counting from the top) sits directly on flag centerline. It is simple and it works. There is a little yellow dot to mark the spot. 15 + 15 + 15 = 22 + 23 = 45 MapGrid (talk) 16:46, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
