Incorrect flag;Citation request[edit]

The current national flag of Poland consisting of the colors of white and red in an ratio of 5:8, is, according to existing documents, adopted officially after August 1, 1919. While the colors of white and red were used thought out Polish history, there status as the official national colors of the nation did not occur until 1831 during the famous November Uprising. Hence using the national flag of Poland as the symbol used by the Duchy of Warsaw from (1807-1815) can be considered misleading, as there seems to be no evidence to mention its use. My personal recommendation is to recreate a flag or symbol that might have been more commonly used by civilians or military formations at the time. I am referring to the national symbol of Poland, the white eagle on the coat of arms. This symbol was most commonly found on war banners or standard for various military formations of the Duchy during that period. I would strongly advise removing this file or uploading a newer version that correlates closer to the recommendations mentioned above. KoziPLUS (talk) 12:23, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
