In response to a note from HoboMcJoe: Thanks for letting me know that the data had been (finally) updated on the M-Q site. They were very late in updating this year.

I did use the M-Q scores (post_mn column) as they request, and I created the graph using Microsoft Excel. In earlier years, I was copying all of the data by hand into my spreadsheet, and since M-Q updates all of the data going back to 1937 every year, it was a lot of work. This year I automated the process using Excel commands VLOOKUP, MATCH, ADDRESS, and INDIRECT which should speed up the process in the future. It looks like the XLOOPUP command would work even better but that is not available to me since I refuse to pay for Excel 365. Randy Schutt (talk) 01:51, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the colors used in the graph -- a different one for each Supreme Court seat -- once corresponded to the colors on the Timeline of justices found at the bottom of List of justices of the Supreme Court of the United States. But it looks like that page has been changed so the colors are now different. Randy Schutt (talk) 02:10, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
