An example of useless Inkscape definitions[edit]
Some files are blown up by repeating hundreds of times unused definitions.
These files repeat ever and ever an unreferenced definition of about 280 bytes like

- 1 782 times: Kit body udechile2010t.svg,
- 2 815 times: Kit left arm udechile2010t.svg,
- 5 394 times: Kit body santacruz2013a.svg,
- 12 161 times: Kit right arm udechile2010t.svg,
- 12 162 times: Kit right arm udechile2010h.svg.
The same occur with repeated linear and radial gradients.
