This photo doesn't show Hekla, but another one, the one erupting in 2010, Eyjafjallajökull. west near Hvolsvöllur. It's taken from Fljótshlíd, that is from the You can e.g. clearly define the ridge of Gígjökull where the lava went down, see this photo:
