Wrong Identification of Painting[edit]

This photo is incorrectly labeled. This is not Louis-René Ferdinand Quentin de Richebourg, but his older brother Louis-Pierre Quentin de Richebourg who sat for the painting in England. Sotheby's incorrectly identified the picture when it went on auction in 2016.

The has returned to the Knoles Collection and it's providence confirmed.
