The three images of this car are incorrectly described. Eddaido (talk) 20:33, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I see that's now four. Eddaido (talk) 20:34, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A more civil approach

[edit]

First of all, these are obviously great photos. Secondly, I don't know what kind of car this might be nor what year. The MG PA was built in 1934 and 1935 and has an 847cc four-cylinder, while the PB development was built until 1936 with a 939cc "four". Meanwhile, the N-type Magnette was closely related to the PA/PB and has an inline-six of 1271cc (or is it 1272?), so it would seem that this is some sort of PA (but probably not a '36) which has been fitted with an N-series engine. Meanwhile, the German Wikipedia article has a paragraph about the supposed "PA 6" car, added by an IP with no other edits three years ago: [1] This seems rather fishy and should be deleted in my opinion.

Anyhow, the car is there (maybe the engine is from 1936?) but I do think that the description ought to somehow be amended. It most definitely doesn't deserve its own category as it is just a bitsa, however charming. mr.choppers (talk)-en- 03:01, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Engine number 1854AP is for a P-series, so this car (PA/1591) originally had a 847cc four. The chassis code implies that the car was built in 1935. Would love to see the registration papers of this car! Here it is again, and the owner has a youtube channel where he also refers to the car as a "PA6 Race". mr.choppers (talk)-en- 03:26, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Something not quite right
