The picture gives a wrong impression: The lancer wears the red kurtka of the 2nd guard lancers, which were Dutch and not present at Albuera. The only French/Polish Lancers in that battle were the 1st lancers of the Vistula Legion (7th of the nine French line lancer regiments), wearing blue coats. And it is not an officer, because officers of the lancers have not had lances.--Feliks (talk) 08:16, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
