Contested.[edit]

Godefroy, I'm sure you are very aware where this montage is used and of the polemic around it there. Go to Talk:Paris to discuss changes that affect that article. THEPROMENADER 18:12, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is precisely because I stumbled upon that talk page and saw the comment by an editor there (Askedonty) complaining about the standalone view of the Eiffel Tower in that photomontage that I modified it. That plus the fact that the view of La Défense was too small to be visible in the old version. I find your outright reverting frankly uncivil. You could at least try to discuss things with me before! I spent one full hour working on that photomontage. Godefroy (talk) 22:21, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Then you know full well then that your 'update' (and always the same image and no other - this one was not mentioned anywhere near the comments of which you speak) has been contested and/or will be. When wanting to make a possibly contested edit, it is you who should be commenting on the talk page before making it. Your way of going about it can be easily seen as 'sneaky'. Even after two warnings, you still continue to persist in your behaviour. Please do report this. THEPROMENADER 23:31, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Godefroy, thank you in advance for not changing the Eiffel Tower image. This is a very sensitive issue, discussed at length in the Wikipedia Paris Talk page, as mentioned above. That image of the Tower with La Défense has not gained consensus. Quite the contrary. It was ruled out by consensus by an overwhelming majority of Wikipedia editors, primarily because La Défense is outside of Paris, yet appears hugely in that photograph (because of a powerful zoom). The actual photomontage has been accepted, and therefore should not be changed without renewed consensus. Coldcreation (talk) 11:37, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
