Hello Panairjdde (buddy). Nice map. The links weren't too useful as links to commons. It certainly looks as though you meant them to link to Wikipedia, so I changed them for you. If that isn't OK with you just revert the whole thing. In that case I wouldnlt be able to use your nifty map under Castra.

The transition to Wikipedia seems pretty straightforward. One of the problems was V Alaudae, which had a long history, saw action in many places, was stationed in many places, was disgraced more than once, reconstituted more than once, is rumored to have been annihilated a number of times, and probably perished without revivification on the Danube frontier. You had "near Danube". I left a note as a comment. The legion was probably in Dobruja but a number of camps were in lower Moesia there. Somewhere out there someone knows for sure so I just left it blank instead of "near Danube". Put it back if you like. I will keep an eye out for the camp where the gravestone was but in general it looks like Oescus.Botteville 13:17, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The map is wrong... it depicts 2 legions in Nijmegen but Nijmegen only had one. The other one was stationed in Castra Vetera, half way between Nijmegen and Cologne...

Legio I Adiutrix: Brigetio (Szöny)[edit]

Nice map, thanks. There must be a mistake, though. The town Szöny in Hungary can't be were you put it (No. 8) because that would be between Mainz and Straßbourg eg Germany. It schould be located much more to the south-east.
