How is Egypt a possible extension? I can see including the Sinai, easily, but it's incorrect to color the whole country blue. The whole point of the designation "Southwest Asia" is to use it as a purely geographic term unconnected to the term "Middle East" which is geo-political. Thus, one uses "Southwest Asia" when describing ancient cultures in the region, but "Middle Eastern" for events beginning in the late 19th/early 20th century (till present). — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 15:57, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
